After debuting at No. 1 last week, Less Than Jake’s album Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand falls to No. 2 with 913,000, a sales slide of 85%. It has been thirteen years Less Than Jake’ last studio CD, “Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
24 Hours In Paramus - arguably the best track on Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand album. Whipping Boy hits the heart. Time and A Half is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand. Less Than Jake rocks harder than ever with Econolodged. Pez King is just simply stunning. Listening to Where The Hell Is Mike Sinkovich you can hear that Less Than Jake has still amazing chemistry with band members. I like the agression and power of This Is Going Nowhere. Laverne and Shirley is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand have ended. Less Than Jake sings Fucked in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. 867-5309 (Jenny) is probably the highlight of the album. Dukes Of Hazzard is the albums biggest surprise. Shotgun is a very catchy tune. Less Than Jake sings his heart out in Down In The Mission. St. James Hotel is the first taste of the new album. Glumble is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Some call Lucky Day from Losers, Kings, and Things We Don’t Understand as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I think Who Holds The Power Ring is the best song Less Than Jake has ever done. Less Than Jake must have run out of lyrics on the next track Wish Pig. When I listen to Awkward Age in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Good Time For Change (2:19) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs.
