This album has some very good songs like Where Do The Children Play and Troddin. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Big Mountain. Big Mountain had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. I Love Resistance from start to finish!
I like Troddin because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Resistance couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Wante Wante. Sweet and Deadly is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I believe Soul Teacher is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. This track is a great song that still never gets old. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Resistance because the melody in the chorus is so good. Once you hear Retire, you will listen to it over and over. This track is full of harmonies and gets Resistance off to a relaxing start. All of songs on Resistance and have something to say letting alone Love Is The Only Way. Inner City Youth presents the astounding mix of instruments on Resistance. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. After about the third Hooligans Dub listen through, I began to believe this song is Big Mountain’s essence. Get Together is the song that really did it for me. A fantastic track full of wonder. Lyrics of Caribbean Blue are precise and evocative. Don’t judge Bobbin’ and Weavin on the first listening.
