Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Krokus comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Krokus on ‘Night Wolf’. For older fans The Dirty Dozen: The Very Best Of 1979-1983 (Remastered) will put a massive smile accross your face. If I may, I suggest “Night Wolf”. That one song is amazing!
Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Dirty Dozen: The Very Best Of 1979-1983 (Remastered) is Bad Boys, Rag Dolls. Playin’ The Outlaw is marvelous and different song. The sound of American Woman is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. First time I heard Down The Drain was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Ready To Burn is the first taste of the new album. Rock City is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Easy Rocker good vocals. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Bedside Radio. Krokus is one of artists that allow his songs like Heatstrokes to stand on their own and be heard. Smelly Nelly gives good insight into the truths. She’s Got Everything is a very catchy tune. Long Stick Goes Boom was the first single release from the album The Dirty Dozen: The Very Best Of 1979-1983 (Remastered). I love the melodic melody of Headhunter and to this day it makes me feel good. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Eat The Rich. Music and lyrics of Screaming In The Night creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
