Since completing 1989’s ‘L’acteur’, Michel Sardou fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. On the Belgium charts, superstar Michel Sardou’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. ‘Bercy 89 : Version Integrale’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Bercy 89 : Version Integrale is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Michel Sardou breathes new life into the music in Tous Les Bateaux S’envolent. Dans Ma Memoire Elle Etait Bleue good vocals. The sound of Dessins De Femme is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Road Book is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Le Paraguay N’est Plus Ce Qu’il Etait - another great track from the Bercy 89 : Version Integrale album. Michel Sardou must have run out of lyrics on the next track Rouge. Les Hommes Qui Ne Dorment Jamais is perfect work of Michel Sardou. Lettre A Femme Pour Lui Expliquer very upbeat. L’an Mil is the song that really did it for me. La Meme Eau Qui Coule - Michel Sardou first major hit. In Minuit Moins Dix Michel Sardou is at his best. Les Yeux D’un Animal is excellent song though, very addictive. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Attention Les Enfants…Danger is a fine track on any terms. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Get Bercy 89 : Version Integrale and turn on 1965 if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Elle En Aura Besoin Plus Tard is really a nice song to relax and listen too. What sets Vincent apart is Michel Sardou’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Once you hear Le Successeur, you will listen to it over and over. Musulmanes is the albums biggest surprise. Les Lacs Du Connemara is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Un Jour La Liberte is possibly the best song Michel Sardou has come up. Michel Sardou is one of artists that allow his songs like Tu as chang (version 89) to stand on their own and be heard. Only one song from Bercy 89 : Version Integrale named Le centre du monde (version 89) really got me. I was truly moved when I heard Si j’avais un frure (version 89). Les dessins (version 89) is simply cool. Although Petit (version 89) is very melodic it is far from sad. Folk song melody (version 89) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This is one hell of a track. A fantastic track full of wonder. Les ricains (version 89) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. One listen to the sheer beauty of Nous n’aurons pas d’enfants (version 89) was all I needed. Ton fils (avec J.J Goldman) - This is a very lively song. Sur la route de Memphis (avec Eddy Mitchell) - Okay, I just talked about depth. Pour toi Armnie - A strong beat.
