Horizon isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. The Carpenters was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Carpenters and Horizon together. This album has some very good songs like Aurora and Only Yesterday. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Only Yesterday is a song to enjoy for years to come. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. The song I Can Dream Can’t I ending is my favorite… so catchy! This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Simple and heartfelt closing track (I’m Caught Between) Goodbye And I Love You closes Horizon on a high note. Love Me For What I Am - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I find myself hearing bits of Eventide here and there throughout my waking hours.
