I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Jazz Masters 46′ really is amazing. six years ago, Ella Fitzgerald briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Caravan”. This is one of the best Cd’s Ella Fitzgerald has dropped to date. To me Ella Fitzgerald is the best band ever.
Caravan is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. They Can’t Take That Away from Me can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Ella Fitzgerald is all about. Ev’rything I’ve Got is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. One for My Baby (And One More for the Road) is the albums biggest surprise. You Hit the Spot is one of the best records ever. It’s such an underrated song. Them There Eyes is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Charming song, great melody. Jersey Bounce is a strong cut, one of many. Blew our minds when we first heard Black Coffee. Hear Me Talkin’ to Ya? marked the continuation of Ella Fitzgerald in style evolution. It’s Only a Paper Moon stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Passion Flower great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.A fantastic track full of wonder.
