This disc has all of the essential Patricia Kaas classics. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Patricia Kaas has. On Scene De Vie album, Patricia Kaas have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Scene De Vie touched my soul like nothing else.
Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Les Mannequins D’osier. Charming song, great melody. In Coeurs Brises the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. As always, Patricia Kaas’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Les Hommes Qui Passent makes a person feel marvelous. Vocals of Patricia Kaas in Bessie really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. It’s such an underrated song. Kennedy Rose is such a excellent and optimistic song that things can get just better. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. In Patou Blues full palet of sound is used by Patricia Kaas to accentuate the presentation. Simple and heartfelt closing track Generique (Orchestral) closes Scene De Vie on a high note.
