Thom Yorke has compared writing for Neil Sedaka’s new album to that on ‘Greatest Hits 93′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. While no new Neil Sedaka album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1993 tour in Europe. Neil Sedaka had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. I’m A Song (Sing Me) and Standing On The Inside is really good.
It’s a great pleasure to listen to Standing On The Inside from the beginning to the end. Laughter In The Rain is almost impossible to review. Oh Carol is the first taste of the new album. Put Stairway to Heaven into car stereo for your highway driving Music of Hey Little Devil is gentle, never overbearing. I like the idea behind Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen. I now have Calendar Girl as one of my personal favorites. New York City Blues - another great track from the Greatest Hits 93 album. Love Will Keep Us Together is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Solitaire is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. The sound of Lonely Night (Angel Face) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Blew our minds when we first heard Sad Eyes. Bad Blood is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Greatest Hits 93. The Immigrant is so unique, as each one of the songs is. It’s such an underrated song.
