I am not a real Instrumental music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Shadows At Abbey Road’ really is amazing. After seeing Wonderful Land (Unissued Version), I had to have a good The Shadows cd. This disc has all of the essential The Shadows classics. Enjoy the show.
Witch Doctor (The Savage; Unissued Film Version) is one of the best records ever. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with What A Lovely Tune (Unissued Stereo Version). The Boys - Theme (Un-Dubbed Version) is beautiful, yet underrated track. This is one hell of a track. There is gorgeous mix of music in All Day (Unissued Alternate Version). Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I now have It’s Been A Blue Day (Unissued Alternative Un-Dubbed) as one of my personal favorites. Within the first few notes of Razzmataz (Unissued Alternative Version) it’s perfectly clear that The Shadows is living this song. Nothing, Folks (Unissued Instrumental Track) is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. John’s Rocker (Unissued Version Of I Wish I Could…) is the albums biggest surprise. Zero X Theme (Stereo Re-Mix) has a fun tempo. Thunderbirds Theme (Stere Re-Mix) is a bit of a show-tune. I can’t stop humming along Scotch On The Rocks (Stereo Re-Mix). If you are a The Shadows fan, you will love Slaughter On 10Th Avenue. Don’t judge Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Unissued Instrumental) on the first listening. The Shadows is one of artists that allow his songs like No No Nina (Unissued Instrumental Version) to stand on their own and be heard. A unique and uplifting song. God Only Knows (Unissued Re-Mixed and Modified Version) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually.
