The Shadows was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Shadows and Themes and Dreams together. It has been fifteen years The Shadows’ last studio CD, “Themes and Dreams” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. It’s natural for The Shadows to take a stab at ‘Crockett’s Theme’ considering her long-professed love for Azymuth. If you want to hear real Instrumental, get this record now!
Up To Where We Belong - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. A unique and uplifting song. I like the agression and power of Theme From The Deerhunter. Walking In The Air catches attention immediately, If You Leave Me Now - Okay, I just talked about depth. Voice of The Shadows in One Day I’ll Fly Away is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Africa is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Every Breath You Take is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Memory is my favorite song on Themes and Dreams. After few listenings I started to like Nights In White Satin more and more. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Themes and Dreams. You Win Again sets the tone for the entire album. Sailing - arguably the best track on Themes and Dreams album. Just The Way You Are is one of the best records ever. Moonlight Shadow is a amazing song and it grows on you.
