Lead single “Sentia” and “J.C.” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Mecano’s debut, ‘Aidalai’, does not fit easily into one genre. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Mecano energies, virtually a rebirth. This album is a scorcher!
J.C. is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Within the first few notes of El Peon Del Rey De Negras it’s perfectly clear that Mecano is living this song. Dalai Lama - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. The song Tu ending is my favorite… so catchy! El Lago Artificial pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Nice and different song. No Mecano song has come close to capturing my attention as 1917 did. What sets Naturaleza Muerta apart is Mecano’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. El 7 De Septiembre very upbeat. In Bailando Salsa Mecano spins a tale you want to hear to the end. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Aidalai. In El Fallo Positivo the music gets its power.
