This is the first studio album from Jerry Goldsmith since bad diagnosis in 1999. ‘The 13th Warrior’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This disc has all of the essential Jerry Goldsmith classics. If you want to hear real Soundtrack, get this record now!
Get The 13th Warrior and turn on Exiled if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Semantics is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. This track is clearly meant to showcase Jerry Goldsmith’s vocal abilities. Viking Heads is one of the best records ever. The Sword Maker is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Jerry Goldsmith ever produced. The Horns Of Hell is just simply stunning. This is probably my favorite song on the album. If you are a Jerry Goldsmith fan, you will love Honey. The Cave Of Death is a medium tempo tune. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Mother Wendol’s Cave is a song to enjoy for years to come. Underwater Escape the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Valhalla/Viking Victory is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. A Useful Servant is simple, dignified and effective, Jerry Goldsmith refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
