For older fans Ibiza-Volumen 05 will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Cafe Del Mar last CD (Ibiza-Volumen 05) on Capitol Records back in 1998, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album has some very good songs like Mumbai Theme Tune (A.R. Rahman) and More Than Ever People (Levitation). Cafe Del Mar “Ibiza-Volumen 05″ is an amazing album.
Vocals of Cafe Del Mar in More Than Ever People (Levitation) really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. I hope to keep hearing Cafe Del Mar works for a long time to come. One listen to the sheer beauty of Paradise (Tease Mix; Nookie feat. Larry Heard) was all I needed. Music in Penelope (Radio Edit; 4 Wings) is gorgeous as in all tracks of Ibiza-Volumen 05. Best song on the album, love it. I listened to the opening track Uschi’s Groove (The Ballistic Brothers) and liked it a lot. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Ibiza-Volumen 05 is Lubumba ‘98 (A New Funky Generation feat. Marika). The song Face a La Mer (Massive Attack Remix - Full Version; Les Negresses Vertes) ending is my favorite… so catchy! Talking With Myself ‘98 (Canny Remix; Electribe 101) is a amazing, simple song by Cafe Del Mar at the top of his game. Pojo Pojo (Cyberfit) is one of the best records ever. Transfatty Acid (Kruder and Dorfmeister Remix Edit; Lamb) - I like this one. Angels Landing (Jose Padilla and Sunchild Remix; Salt Tank) is probably one of Cafe Del Mar’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Mani (Paco Fernandez) sets the tone for the entire album. Close Cover (Wim Mertens) is so unique, as each one of the songs is.
