On I’d Like to Teach the World To Sing album, Lea Salonga have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. fifteen years ago, Lea Salonga briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing”. This album has some very good songs like Ngayon Pa Lang Tagumpay Ka Na and I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing. Such great and happy songs.
Lea Salonga emotions are reflected through I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing. Simple and heartfelt closing track Rainbow Connection closes I’d Like to Teach the World To Sing on a high note. I’ve found myself listening to Sing back to back and back many times. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Happiness stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Sa Ugoy Ng Duyan good vocals. In Thank You For the Music the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Although Tomorrow is very melodic it is far from sad. Someone’s Waiting For You is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Alphabet Song one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. When You Wish Upon a Star without a doubt is the standout song of I’d Like to Teach the World To Sing. This track is clearly meant to showcase Lea Salonga’s vocal abilities. The Greatest Love of All was the first single release from the album I’d Like to Teach the World To Sing. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
