Origa was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Origa and Lyre together. This disc has all of the essential Origa classics. Lead single “From the Town of Lyre” and “Go Away” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Lyre is not something you should pass up.
The sound of Go Away is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Origa has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Music and lyrics of The First Snow creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. A unique and uplifting song. Origa is one of artists that allow his songs like God’s Trial to stand on their own and be heard. At the End of the Sky has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Origa rocks harder than ever with Night Melody. White Fire is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Lyre.
