It’s natural for Linda Ronstadt to take a stab at ‘Lover’s Return’ considering her long-professed love for Babylon Zoo. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Trio II (Two)’ really is amazing. There is so much to love about Linda Ronstadt, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Another great offering from Linda Ronstadt.
High Sierra is a bit of a show-tune. Song Do I Ever Cross Your Mind is actually a funny song. Voice and instruments in After the Gold Rush complement each other. After you’ve listened to The Blue Train, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. I Feel the Blues Movin’ In (4:35) - awsome. You’ll Never Be the Sun is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Linda Ronstadt released so far. He Rode All the Way to Texas - Okay, I just talked about depth. Feels Like Home is just simply stunning. When We’re Gone, Long Gone is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever.
