When you buy a Doris Day album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This disc has all of the essential Doris Day classics. Doris Day’s debut, ‘Did You Give the World Some Love Today, Baby’, does not fit easily into one genre. Doris Day “Did You Give the World Some Love Today, Baby” is an amazing album.
I Wish I Knew - I just love it. In Grey Rain Of Sweden it becomes nowhere more obvious that Doris Day has yet to define own style. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Don’t is a striking and quite long song. Doris Day has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. You Never Come Closer is perfect. Whispering Pine is marvelous and different song. I’m Pushing You Out is a excellent sing-along. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Did You Give the World Some Love Today, Baby. Beatmaker is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Bath - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Mama Didn’t Lie - A catchy, upbeat tune. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. You Made A Fool Of Me is a song to enjoy for years to come. Wouldn’t That Be Groovy catches attention immediately, Excellent vocals and musical performances. Music and lyrics of One Fine Day creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Flowers In The Morning presents the marvelous mix of instruments on Did You Give the World Some Love Today, Baby. A great put together song. Why Did You Go the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Go Back To Daddy is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Doris Day released so far.
