This is the first studio album from Marianne Faithfull since bad diagnosis in 1999. It’s natural for Marianne Faithfull to take a stab at ‘Vagabond Ways’ considering her long-professed love for Ondskapt. Since Marianne Faithfull last CD (Vagabonds Ways) on Blue Note Records back in 1999, I have felt a massive void in my life. Another great offering from Marianne Faithfull.
I like Incarceration Of A Flower Child because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. A unique and uplifting song. Electra is one of the more up-tempo songs on Vagabonds Ways. Wilder Shores Of Love is probably one of Marianne Faithfull’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Marathon Kiss is a strong cut, one of many. I can’t stop humming along For Wanting You. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Tower Of Song is a very catchy tune. After The Ceasefire is nothing but pure genius.
