On the Croatia charts, superstar Marianne Faithfull’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Self-described as Rock: Pop-Rock with lots of words, Marianne Faithfull comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Marianne Faithfull’s new album to that on ‘Greatest Hits’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Counting is a bit different from Marianne Faithfull stereotypical stuff. This Little Bird is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Summer Nights is one of the more up-tempo songs on Greatest Hits. Something Better - I like this one. Come Stay With Me is a medium tempo tune. Monday Monday is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. With You In Mind is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Yesterday is perfect. Go Away From My World - For me, this is the best of the album. Tomorrow’s Calling has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. In My Time Of Sorrow is a fine track on any terms. From the moment you listen to Is This What I Get For Loving You you’re hooked. I Have A Love one of the best in my collection. Some Other Spring - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Sister Morphine has a fun tempo.
