There were many famous songs of Dalida available. After seeing Parle plus bas, I had to have a good Dalida cd. Best Of (1972-1988) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is what good Pop should be.
As always, Dalida’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Dalida rocks harder than ever with Paroles, Paroles. C’est mieux comme ca is pretty funky and mellow. It’s such an underrated song. Voyages sans bagages is the first taste of the new album. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Tu m’as declare l’amour. Quand s’arretent les violons as a highlight of Best Of (1972-1988) contains a ton of marvelous melodies. I like the idea behind Remember. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Dalida. Nostalgie one of the best in my collection. Ensemble is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. L’innamorata is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Soleil - This is a very lively song. Les hommes de ma vie one is one of the better boring ones. Dalida emotions are reflected through La Mamma.
