It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Dalida energies, virtually a rebirth. This album has some very good songs like Je N’ai Jamais Pu T’oublier and La Valse Des Vacances. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Dalida comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Another great offering from Dalida.
La Valse Des Vacances (2:52) a good melody. Some call Allo… Tu M’entends from Volume 07 - La Danse De Zorba (64-65) as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Allo… Tu M’entends is probably one of Dalida’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. This is probably my favorite song on the album. La Sainte Totoche is astounding and different song. I’ve found myself listening to Viva La Pappa back to back and back many times. In Hene Ma Tov you won’t find any flashy solos. If you are a Dalida fan, you will love La Danse De Zorba. All of songs on Volume 07 - La Danse De Zorba (64-65) and have something to say letting alone Tu N’as Pas Merite. A unique and uplifting song. Les Nuits Sans Toi had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Bonsoir Mon Amour gives taste of what makes Dalida special as a musician. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Volume 07 - La Danse De Zorba (64-65). Flamenco (2:12) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Tu Me Voles - For me, this is the best of the album. Son Chapeau is a gorgeous sing-along. La Vie En Rose - A nice song. Toi Pardonne-Moi (3:02) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This song may be the most meaningful. C’est Irreparable is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Un Enfant is the albums biggest surprise.
