There is so much to love about Dalida, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. On Les annees Barclay - Vol.7 - La Danse de Zorba album, Dalida have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. twelve years ago, Dalida briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Valse des Vacances”. This album is awesome.
Valse des Vacances (2:52) - awsome. Allo…Tu M’Entends? gives taste of what makes Dalida special as a musician. Printemps Sur la Colline - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Sainte Totoche - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Viva la Pappa - I just love it. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Danse de Zorba rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Tu N’As Pas MtNon Son Degno Di Te) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Some call Tout Se Termine from Les annees Barclay - Vol.7 - La Danse de Zorba as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I came to like Nuits Sans Toi (E Se Domani). Bonsoir Mon Amour (Il Silenzio) is just simply stunning. I loved Scandale Dans la Famille (Shame and Scandal in the Family) the first time I heard it. Dalida emotions are reflected through Flamenco. Te Ne Dirai Ni Oui Ni Non is a fine track on any terms. Blew our minds when we first heard Tu Me Sles. Son Chapeau is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Vie en Rose because the melody in the chorus is so good. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Toi Pardonne-Moi is my favorite song on Les annees Barclay - Vol.7 - La Danse de Zorba. Saleil et la Montagne is one of these floating songs. C’Est Irrrable is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Opening track Enfant shows the best of Dalida.
