It has been fourteen years Dalida’ last studio CD, “Les annees Barclay - Vol.9 - Le temps des fleurs” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Dalida’s new album to that on ‘Les annees Barclay - Vol.9 - Le temps des fleurs’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Les annees Barclay - Vol.9 - Le temps des fleurs carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Dalida “Les annees Barclay - Vol.9 - Le temps des fleurs” is an amazing album.
Toi Mon Amour is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Lyrics of Si J’Avais des Millions (If I Were a Rich Man) [De LA Comedie Musicale] are precise and evocative. Tout le Monde a Sa Chanson d’Amour is the song that really did it for me. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Tout le Monde Sait (Everybody Knows) is the albums biggest surprise. Pars is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Dans la Ville Endormie - I just love it. No Dalida song has come close to capturing my attention as Petite Maison Bleue (Casa Bianca) did. Bambola stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Temps des Fleurs (Those Were the Days). This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Septi Jour sets the tone for the entire album. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Les annees Barclay - Vol.9 - Le temps des fleurs. Je Me Repose - This one is lively and fun. Quelques Larmes de Pluie (Rain and Tears) is a astounding, simple song by Dalida at the top of his game. Manuella (Viva la Quince Brigada) - A strong beat. Tire l’Aiguille hits the heart. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Blew our minds when we first heard Se Vite Les Larmes. Zoum Zoum Zoum (3:00) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I love the melodic melody of Dis-Moi des Mots and to this day it makes me feel good. In Violons de Mon Pays full palet of sound is used by Dalida to accentuate the presentation. Vent N’A Pas de Mire is nothing but pure genius.
