Thom Yorke has compared writing for Angel’s new album to that on ‘Welcome To The Soul Asylum’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lead single “In The Name Of Love” and “I Would Never Fall In Love With You Again” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album has some very good songs like In The Name Of Love and I Would Never Fall In Love With You Again. To me Angel is the best band ever.
This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Welcome To The Soul Asylum. Best song on the album, love it. All My Life is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Save Me is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. One listen to the sheer beauty of Jennifer was all I needed. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. I’ve found myself listening to Not Alone But Lonely back to back and back many times. Chance In A Lifetime is nothing short of a modern masterpiece.
