Self-described as Rock: Pop-Rock with lots of words, Rod Stewart comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Lyrics of Lady Day are precise and evocative. Song Gasoline Alley is actually a funny song. Mama You Been On My Mind is one of the best records ever. Put You Wear It Well into car stereo for your highway driving Lost Paraguayos have really caught my ear and imagination. True Blue is almost impossible to review. Girl From The North Country is one of my favorite songs by Rod Stewart. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Maggie May. Although Every Picture Tells A Story is very melodic it is far from sad. I’m Losing You (5:20) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Country Comforts motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others.
