Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Rod Stewart on ‘I Lost You’. Self-described as Rock: Soft Rock with lots of words, Rod Stewart comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Rod Stewart was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Rod Stewart and Out Of Order together. This album is awesome.
The Wild Horse without a doubt is the standout song of Out Of Order. In Lethal Dose Of Love Rod Stewart spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Forever Young - My least favorite song on this album. The song feels complete. Opening track Dynamite shows the best of Rod Stewart. The sound in Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out is really warm and Rod Stewart’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I’ve found myself listening to Try A Little Tenderness back to back and back many times. When I Was Your Man sets the tone for the entire album. Musically Almost Illegal is superior to other tracks in Out Of Order.
