The Kelly Family was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Kelly Family and The Very Best…Over 10 Years together. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Kelly Family energies, virtually a rebirth. Since completing 1993’s ‘Amazing Grace’, The Kelly Family fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Strong, powerful vocals of The Kelly Family in Ave Maria are very impressive. The Kelly Family is one of artists that allow his songs like Danny Boy to stand on their own and be heard. It’s such an underrated song. I can’t stop playing Greensleeves. Hiroshima,I’m Sorry make listening to The Kelly Family like being in some sort of time warp. I like the idea behind House On The Ocean. Key To My Heart is nothing but pure genius. Let It Be is probably the highlight of the album. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Get The Very Best…Over 10 Years and turn on Ode To Joy if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Old Mcdonald is one of the more up-tempo songs on The Very Best…Over 10 Years. Shenandoah - My least favorite song on this album. Take My Hand is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Very Best…Over 10 Years. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Who’ll Come With Me very upbeat.
