Ministry Of Sound’s debut, ‘The Ibiza Annual 1998 (Disc 2)’, does not fit easily into one genre. When you buy a Ministry Of Sound album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There is no doubt that Ministry Of Sound has talent. If you love Ministry Of Sound as much as I do, then Ministry Of Sound The Ibiza Annual 1998 (Disc 2) is the CD for you!
Within the first few notes of Rock Da House Live [Original Mix] it’s perfectly clear that Ministry Of Sound is living this song. Simple and heartfelt closing track Latin Bounce [Original Mix] closes The Ibiza Annual 1998 (Disc 2) on a high note. Lyrics of Disco Dancin’ [DJ Tonka Mix] are precise and evocative. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Voice and instruments in Windows 98 [Victor Imbrez ”Broken Glass Up Your Arse” Remix] complement each other. Teardrops [Lovestation Flava Mix] - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Although Take It Easy [Rhythm Masters Disfunktional Mix] is very melodic it is far from sad. Some of the arrangements found on The Ibiza Annual 1998 (Disc 2) are surprisingly edgy. Be Yourself Be Free [Twisted Punk Mix] is a amazing song and it grows on you. After few listenings I started to like Keep That Feeling High [Club Mix] more and more. Three Drives [Original Mix] is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. I was truly moved when I heard Have Faith [Original Mix]. Only one song from The Ibiza Annual 1998 (Disc 2) named Indica [Original Mix] really got me. There is cool mix of music in Cosmic Disco [Original Mix]. In Juste Let Go [Gallery Vocal Mix] the music gets its power. Robodisco [Original Mix] have really caught my ear and imagination. I find myself hearing bits of Independance [The Stadium Mix] here and there throughout my waking hours. Music and lyrics of Everybody [Original Pimp Mix] creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Feelin’ You [Untidy Dub] is really the reason why I recommend buying The Ibiza Annual 1998 (Disc 2). Barraca Destroy is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
