Since completing 1998’s ‘Sol’itude’, Ernesto Cortazar fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been three years Ernesto Cortazar’ last studio CD, “Moments of Sol’itude” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. It’s natural for Ernesto Cortazar to take a stab at ‘Sol’itude’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. This album is in perfect progression from Ernesto Cortazar!
Our Love Never Dies as a highlight of Moments of Sol’itude contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. Angelica is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. The first time I listened to Maridome I was struck by its exquisite sound. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Gondola is simple, dignified and effective, Ernesto Cortazar refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Overall a nice softer song. The Pianist is Playing Our Song - Ernesto Cortazar first major hit. This song is dynamic and dramatic. I was truly moved when I heard Sol’itude (Concerto). Our Love Never Dies (Concerto) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Ernesto Cortazar ever produced.
