There is so much to love about Ocarina, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Now signed to Ocarina’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Magic Book” leads Ocarina’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Ocarina classics. Smart music for smart people.
December is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. I came to like After Bentha. Marmarooni - A catchy, upbeat tune. When listening to Pedro and Blanca, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. November is Gone is simply amazing. I have all of Ocarina’s tracks and One Man Wooman is probably the most his introspective effort. Ocarina is one of artists that allow his songs like Jambo to stand on their own and be heard. Caoma is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Overall a nice softer song. Rich and Poor is one of the best records ever. After you’ve listened to Whispering Waves, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Zamba one of the best in my collection. Miracle Of Love is the album’s biggest hit, I think. All of songs on Magic Book and have something to say letting alone Ocarina Blue. The Good, the Bad is probably the highlight of the album. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.
