This album has some very good songs like Thunderbird and Try And Try Again. It’s natural for Billy Joe Shaver to take a stab at ‘Thunderbird’ considering her long-professed love for Gridlok. Now signed to Billy Joe Shaver’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Electric Shaver” leads Billy Joe Shaver’s back-to-school campaign. If I may, I suggest “Thunderbird”. That one song is amazing!
Try And Try Again is one of the best records ever. When listening to Leanin’ Toward The Blues, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. New York City is Billy Joe Shaver’s best work in years. Such hits like You Wouldn’t Know Love (If You Fell In It) will leave you hooked. Slave At The Feet Of The Queen pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. The first time I listened to People And Their Problems I was struck by its amazing sound. Manual Labor is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I loved I’ll Be Here the first time I heard it. Heart And Heart is a fine track on any terms. Way Down Texas Way is one of the more up-tempo songs on Electric Shaver. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is She Can Dance.
