In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Slim Whitman. Music of River Of Tears(1961) is gentle, never overbearing. Blues Stay Away From Me(1996) - A nice song. Lyrics of A Fool Such As I(1960) are precise and evocative. The Letter Edged in Black(1959) - Check out that bassline! This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. I was truly moved when I heard A Tree In The Meadow(1996). This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Heartbreak Hill(1960) still maintains something of a specific flourish. I’ll Never See Maggie Alone(1959) is a bit different from Slim Whitman stereotypical stuff. When I Call On You(1961) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. You’re The Only One(1960) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. When I listen to Blues Stay Away from Me(1962) in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Slim Whitman allows each song to breathe and flourish. Opening track What Kind of God (Do You Think You Are)(1959) shows the best of Slim Whitman. A Tree In The Meadow(1959) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I’ll Walk With God(1960) is one of the best records ever. I find myself hearing bits of Whispering Hope(1960) here and there throughout my waking hours. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Get Rose Marie CD 5 and turn on An Evening Prayer(1960) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Jesus Took My Burden(1960) is one of the best records ever. Two Loves Have I(1960) is simply excellent. Sunrise(1960) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Walk Beside Me(1960) is worth the money. Listening to Each Step I Take(1960) you can hear that Slim Whitman has still amazing chemistry with band members. The Great Judgement Morning(1960) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Slim Whitman’s strong vocals come to the fore. In He Lives On High(1960) the music gets its power. Today Is Mine(1960) without a doubt is the standout song of Rose Marie CD 5. Excellent vocals and musical performances.
