Linda Ronstadt’s debut, ‘Trio Vol.1′, does not fit easily into one genre. Trio Vol.1 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Lead single “Pain Of Loving You” and “Making Plans” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Trio Vol.1 is the best essence of Linda Ronstadt.
The first time I listened to Making Plans I was struck by its exquisite sound. To Know Him Is To Love Him is excellent and different song. Linda Ronstadt offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Only one song from Trio Vol.1 named Telling Me Lies really got me. My Dear Companion has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Those Memories Of You - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Linda Ronstadt has astounded me with this amazing track. Still going through Trio Vol.1 and coming to appreciate Rose Wood Casket more and more with every listen. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
