Long Haired Country Boy is the most memorable and marvelous. The Charlie Daniels Band offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Roots Remain (cd1). No Place To Go - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. After you’ve listened to Saddle Tramp, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Album opener Dixie On My Mind is a bright, upbeat ditty. Wichita Jail is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. In Birmingham Blues The Charlie Daniels Band is at his best. After few listenings I started to like Texas more and more. The Charlie Daniels Band has astounded me with this amazing track. Then, Now And Until The End is another favourite of mine.
