ten years ago, Dalida briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Guitare Flamenco”. This album has some very good songs like Madona and Guitare Flamenco. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Dalida. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Dalida ever.
Guitare Flamenco is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Flamenco Bleu is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Mon Coeur Va - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Opening track Violetera shows the best of Dalida. In Fado you won’t find any flashy solos. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Gitane from the beginning to the end. Torrent can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Dalida is all about. Bambino - This is a very lively song. I was truly moved when I heard Aime Moi. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Volume 01 - Bambino (56-57) is Eh Ben. Dalida emotions are reflected through Por Vafor. As always, Dalida’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Ay! Mourir Pour Toi motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. La Plus Belle Du Monde is Dalida’s best work in years. Se Petit Chemin De Pierres is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Dalida released so far. Le Ranch De Maria - Dalida first major hit. I now have Tu Peux Tout Faire De Moi as one of my personal favorites. Quand On N’a Que L’amour is the funkiest number on the album. Tu N’as Pas Tres Bon Caractere is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Buenas Noches Mi Amor is a striking and quite long song. Scusami is cool work of Dalida.
