When you buy a Dalida album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Dalida on ‘Entrez Sans Frapper’. Since Dalida last CD (Volume 09 - Le Temps Des Fleurs (67-69)) on Virgin Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. IT makes me wanna dance!
As always, Dalida’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Si J’avais Des Millions is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. Tout Le Monde A Sa Chanson D’amour - To me, this is the best song on the Volume 09 - Le Temps Des Fleurs (67-69). Tzigane rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Once Tout Le Monde Sait gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Pars - arguably the best track on Volume 09 - Le Temps Des Fleurs (67-69) album. Simple and heartfelt closing track Dans La Ville Endormie closes Volume 09 - Le Temps Des Fleurs (67-69) on a high note. La Petite Maison Bleue is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. La Bambola gives good insight into the truths. Le Temps Des Fleurs (4:02) - awsome. Je M’endors Dans Tes Brus is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Once you hear Le Septieme Jour, you will listen to it over and over. Le Petit Perroquet - This one is lively and fun. Je Me Repose is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. In Quelques Larmes De Pluie full palet of sound is used by Dalida to accentuate the presentation. Song Manuella is actually a funny song. Dalida has astounded me with this amazing track. In L’anniversaire it becomes nowhere more obvious that Dalida has yet to define own style. Seche Vite Tes Larmes is outstanding work of Dalida. In Zoum Zoum Zoum you won’t find any flashy solos. Dis-Moi Des Mots is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Leo Violons De Mon Payo is Dalida’s best work in years. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
